Ok I have a “Little” diff oil leak from the front diff “Dana35”. It is coming from behind the Flange assembly on the front diff. It look’s like it is just a rubber seal that need’s to be replaced would I be correct in assuming this.

Is it straight forward to replace, I.E Unbolt drive shaft from diff, Remove flange, Pull seal out and push new seal back in?? Or is it a little more complex.

Do a little search for pinion seal.

Thanks just did a search and found out what I needed, and should of already known.

At this stage I have put it in the can’t be ####ed basket and am leaning towards getting a shop to do it, rather than lying on my back in the driveway on a Saturday swearing at it when it all goes wrong and doesn’t seal properly.

At this stage it is hardly even a leak more of a slow weep so will leave it be for a wile and just monitor it.
