ANY THOUGHTS ON THAT?
Well coming from a guy who traded in a 99 ranger for an explorer.....
Is it 2wd or 4wd.
If its 2wd youve got a few options.
1. Spindles. These will give you 3 inches of lift, and 1.5 inch wider track width. Lots of companies make spindles for rangers. Fabtech, Procomp, California Super Trucks, H&M Engineering, Camburg. LOTS to choose from. My recomendation would be fabtech or procomp for looks, camburg or H&M for performance. These will set you back about 5 bucks.
2. A arms. New a arms and coils will give you 2.5 inches of lift, but more travel. You can get these from fabtech (for looks or mild off roading) or camburg/H&M for for serious stuff. These will set you back about 1000.
4. You can combine the spindles and the new arms for a 5.5 lift.
5. Custom. H&M offers a completely badass custom front for 98+s. Its new upper and lower arms made of boxed chromaloy steel, SAW coilovers and airbumps. With front glass you could run 35s with this suspension. Its completely badass. The badnews. 6000 bucks.
I had the Fabtech 5.5 on my ranger with 32s and an add a leaf in the rear. It sat nice and high in the front. The ride was pretty good, the added with helped a whole lot, i could barrel through turns like you wouldnt belive. If you plan on doing any serious off roading with it, I would whole heartedly recomend the camburg or H&M stuff, as its gonna take a whole of punishment to break of that stuff.
If your a 4 wd... i dont know, i never looked at any 4wd suspensions cause i had a 2wd.
Anyways, here are some links.
