dash light work\dont work

I created my oun problem i dont know where i went wrong yet but advise would be grate. I am in the proses of sodering my cd in and a remote starter. but when i go to use my dash lights they only work on high. so when i try to dim my dash lights down they gest turn off. they dont even dim a little bit. has this ever happend to any one???? is it a short or broken circit some where. or is my swich gest trash. i havent had time to test any thing yet. any information may be greatfull. THANX

i found the problem it was in my swich. my resistor broke losse causing a open circit. i gest have to go and find a nother wish now.
