Dashcam Install, how to remove fuse box cover on 2019 Ex?

Installing a Dash Cam. I ordered the hard wire kit. I have a couple of questions. (1) Do anyone know what fuse I can use, that only active when car is running. (2) Do I validate the warranty by tapping into the fuse box? If I validate the warranty, your thoughts about the

I am back, with one crazy question. How does one get the cover off of the interior fuse box. I can get the 2 bolts off, but appears that something still attach. I thought maybe you are the go to guy.

I've never really checked the fuse box to see if it has a cover. According to some threads here, s few members didn't have a cover. Now that said, I'm wondering if is this a cover on the actual fuse box or the dash? On know on later models there was a panel that had to be removed from the underside of the dash that wasn't there on earlier 5th gen Explorers.

So I've read all the threads and I can actually see the fuse box. The problem is there is a huge cover going over everything and I cannot physically get my hand into the fuse box. Is this a 2013 thing? It is bolted on so doesn't look very easy to remove. I don't even know the purpose of this...

When I hardwired my front dashcam and rear cam. I ran them to a always on fuse so I could utilize Parking Mode, in the sense someone hits my suv while parked and no one's in it.

I agree that having to force something isn't the best idea. Also, regarding the warranty question, if an item fails and the failure is attributed to the modification, only that part will not be covered under warranty. It doesn't affect the overall factory warranty.

Thanks for the quick the response. Yes this is actual cover to the fuse box. When I take off the 2 attach bolts the unit is free from the dash. I can see some type of grommet (maybe) in the middle of the cover. There is no way I can get anything there to pry if off. I am thinking maybe some type of plastic rivet. Thoughts?

Not going to be much help with that. I've never actually checked the interior fuse box let alone try to remove it and take the cover off. Ford does, however, use many of those plastic rivets/pushpins.
I'm sure someone must have removed the cover on theirs. FYI, I edited the thread title. Perhaps it will help get replies.

It is to the left of driver's side I can barley see the fuses but just can't get the cover to pop off. Thanks for the input
