daytime running lights staying on

why would this be happening? i just got frustrated with them and pulled the fuse. i have noticed other explorers with this problem too. they started going dim at first then flickering then on all the time. what is the problem here?

The DRL module pulses the highs so that could explain the "random dim" nature.... it sounds like the module is "unstable" if they are staying on with the ignition off. Check to make sure you don't have 12v on pin 3 when your vehicle is switched off.
