delete auto pwr dn on windows

Has anyone had the desire to delete the auto pwr down feature of the pwr windows? Sometimes I just want to put the window down a little and it goes down all the way...just a bit of a pet peeve. Not sure if anyone tackled this before????

all you need to do is just hold the button down a little longer.

On my 96 the autodown is through a special relay inside the dash. You could find this and delete it. However, on your 97 it may be part of the switch itself, you'd have to get a non-auto switch if so.

Flip the switch around so it's Auto UP!

(I don't know if that would work or not.) But if you can switch the Auto one with a Normal one.. I'm sure you can switch a normal one for an auto one.

Is the auto feature in the switch itself, or does it include extra relays. Any ideas on how to get this in a 1st gen. I assume the switches are entirely diff.

Auto Up would be nice.

Like I've said before, in mine it's in a relay. In later ones it's in the switch and you can just swap the switch out. Dunno which in a 97.

I tried adding a spare relay to auto down the pass window and it didn't work. It's a wiring nightmare.

it is the one touch down relay.... you could i guess cut the wire that is coming off the GEM module that is on the left side of the stereo...dont know what wire yet, but i will look into it...cuz i know there is one wire coming off of that that completes the one touch down relay circuit...

it is not the switch, i wanted the auto feature for my passenger switch, it didnt work, i need a one touch down module for it...
