Spent more than 6 hours in the driveway today detailing just the exterior of my X. Washed, waxed, polished, buffed, prepped and ready to rock and roll.

The question I have for everyone is....

When you detail your rig, does it seem like foreplay for driving?

I love spending time washing and polishing my ride. Running my hands over the smooth curves. Buffing the polish til it gets warm to the touch. And of course, when I've finished I must sit back and have a smoke and just smile a huge smile while I look back over my rig. (Ok so maybe it's more like sex than just foreplay...)

I wish I had thought about taking pix of it during the daylight so I could post them. Maybe next time.

Matt

you might want to switch your order a bit, try waxing after polishing haha.

It wasn't necessarily the order I did them in..... just listing out the idea that I spent some quality time with my rig today and I feel fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine!

:D

i wash once or twice a week polish or wax whenever a special occasion arrives. i think you feel 100% better about the truck after that. ecspecially a ggod one like you did. so i know what you mean.. and yeah go get some pics tomorrow. we really like to see.

I wonder how your wife feels about that? My wife thinks I'm crazy spending so much time on my truck and then when I finally get home I spend so much time on this site. Thank God she's very understanding like my mother to my father. :)

Since I'm divorced myself I don't have any worries about that anymore. As for the future... well, who knows, maybe I'll meet an "ExplorerChick" who likes her ride just as much as I like mine and we'll spend day after glorious day detailing our trucks! :)

Indeed.... just ask the Belemy Brothers.

Switch to Zaino and your truck will shine like a new penny in no time at all.

I can shine mine in less than an hour.....

Heh...there's absolutely nothing wrong at all!! I spend at least 15 hours in 3 days to detail my rig. I use 3M SMR, Klasse twins, and S100 when I detail. After the 3rd day, I usually take pictures and post them here. That's what I usually do and personally, I love doing it!! My girlfriend thinks I'm crazy but she said she'd love to let me detail hers when I have time. :p
