One would need to be more specific as some might not be safe to paint - fire hazard. What parts?

That high temp engine paint would do it. I had a 86 doge and i just painted the valve covers, A/C, water pump, and the block and it all went find. it was with the engine in b/c i had a lot of room.

yeah.
high temp engine paint.

removing the part will yield the best results.

well, that and a decent prep job.

this sounds sick what prep would you do cant you just take it off and spray away?

Use Engine paint, not heat paint.. the difference is engine paint is good to 500F, while high temp is good 'til to 1500.. If you use high heat on something that doesn't get hot enough the paint will not cure..
