That high temp engine paint would do it. I had a 86 doge and i just painted the valve covers, A/C, water pump, and the block and it all went find. it was with the engine in b/c i had a lot of room.
Use Engine paint, not heat paint.. the difference is engine paint is good to 500F, while high temp is good 'til to 1500.. If you use high heat on something that doesn't get hot enough the paint will not cure..
