Diesel conversion...is it possible?

Hi all
Dose anyone know if there is a diesel engine that will fit into, and onto the existing gearbox, i dont mind slight mods but am limited to what i can do...
it would be good if it was a 2.5 td bmw
also if it is posable to convert this right hand drive 1999 explorer to left hand drive, and what it envolves??????

There are a few 4bt swaps happening but I think they switched out the tranny when the sway was done.

Thats right, there has been a few 4bt swaps done but all were done with different transmissions, these transmissions that came in our trucks from factory weren't the strongest to begin with let alone put a torquey motor infront of it. Try doing a search on here of 4BT swap. As far as converting your truck to left hand drive, not sure what all is involved it be easier to get a left hand drive truck then all your parts are right there for the conversion. welcome i seen some explorers with diesel conversions
