differances between the 95 and 96 4x4

I went looking for a lift for my 95 explorer, only one to make one is superlift but only fits 96-2001. What is the differance between the two. only thing I know is the 96 was available with the V-8. Anything with the suspension?????

There is no differance between a 95 and 96 Explorer. The Superlift kit will work on your 95. They (superlift) use to only make lift kits for 98+ models, but finally figured out that all they had to do was redsign the torsion bar brackets a little for 95-97 models, plus the owners had to buy the torsion bar parts that fit in the 98+ models torsion bar brackets, which are acouple of plates. One is made of teflon and the other is a thin metal plate. That's it.

From what I know, the torsion bar mounts on the frame are welded on on the the '95s. On '96+ they were bolted on. Thats my guess.

no difference. I have it on my 95. The torsion bar brackets being welded on doesn't matter on the Superlift because it piggybacks the OEM brackets, it only matters on the trailmaster lift. Only thing you will have to buy additional is the torsion bar isolators.

What is said by Ray and Lifted. It is the same. The mounts are permanent through 97. The superlift piggybacks. I have installed the superlift lift on a 95 and a 97 and there is no difference. Superlift doesn't know what they are talking about if you ask them they will tell you it won't work, but this proves otherwise:
