I purchased axles from a 99 explorer with 4.10s. The rear swapped in no problem, but the front gears are being a pain. Since it was from a 99 i planned on taking the gears out and swapping them into my 96 c.a.d. axle just to keep it simple. However, after 2 hours of prying on the carrier I gave up on it. Now question is will using a 99 front diff and doing the brown wire mod, will it work? Im not much on doing electrical work but might have to suck it up. Anyone have any input or suggestions before I attempt this. Anything is greatly appreciates.

I have also read the brown mod thread and a thread about. manually disconnecting the c.a
d.

Don't swap the gears and carriers or else the gear alignment will be off. Instead, swap the entire axle assembly.

As for the CAD, there are ways to get around that and plenty of people have done the swap Search a bit, I'm sure you'll come up with a few threads discussing the concept.
