Differential whine after replacing fluid.

Used this forum to to troubleshoot rear end whine, so I replaced the fluid on my differential. Used Royal Purple which has the anti slip additive,however do not think I have anti slip. Could this harm anything?

2003 Sport Trac 4 wheel drive

The whine has gotten progressively louder since replacing fliuid, no leaks.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the transmissions, transfer cases, and differentials section. Your bearings might need to be replaced.

Ford has TSB (05-23-3) for this problem. It say replace original 75w-90 with 75w-140 synthetic fluid.
