I'm taking my explorer to a show this weekend...

Got all my speakers/sub set up nicely and will be showing off the sound and all... how do I turn off or stop the 'ding...ding...ding...' sound that rings while the key is in place and the drivers door is open?

(I will cut wires, I don't like this sound anyhow)

Thanks!

if you are all lucky, I might show you my HUGE excursion of my Brahma 12" Sub (2.5 inches, beats ANY L7 out there, heh, and is powered with 1600 watts)(any questions, just ask)

Thanks! (again.)

Not sure on the '95's but usually there is a fuse for it. I tried to disconect it on my Tahoe but it cut off my hassards also. I havn;t tried in on my X however. Just check your owners manual for the fuse block and see what you can come up with. If nothing there, then you could always get what we call at the shop, a sanity keeper, which is basically a piece that wedges itself between the door and the little button that sets off the buzzer.

I wanna see pics!

The easiest way to do this is to stick your head under the dash on the driver's side (w/key in) and listen for the bell. It will be a little greay box with several wires attached to it. You can either disconnect the harness completely from it, or (like I did) use a test light and find the wire that is triggered by the key and cut it.

This will kind of go along with MrBoyles statement, but my little ringing box under the dash is brown, and as previously stated can be unplugged from the harness.
