Dipstick Question

I replaced my head gaskets and can't remember if the dipstick tube had an o-ring or not. Does anybody know? 1996 4.0 OHV. Thanks, Matt

in my experience working on other engines, they usually don't have an o-ring on the tube, but i guess it wouldn't hurt to put one on. is the tube a tight fit? is it leaking?

my ohv has one on the dip stick

Thanks, it is leaking and try an o-ring and see if that stops it.
