During the tuneup I did last week, I tried cleaning up the intake with some spray carb cleaner. I just sprayed the throttle body with the engine running, and was able to clean that up, but further in the intake is really dirty. I just ran my finger along the inside, past the TB, and my finger was covered in greasy black soot. How can I clean this? Is it normal?
Also, my lifters are NOISY! It sounds to me like there is a knock in the crank or the wrist pins, but I've had 2 unbiased mechanics say its the lifters. With the cold weather it has gotten worse. How to I quiet those suckers down?
Thanks,
Blue
