Does anyone know how to remove the grille for the Mach sub? It doesn't seem to just "pop" off and I don't want to break it. I am adding 2 Infinity Kappa 8" subs and would like to disconnect the stock sub. Anyone had any problems with this?

I don't know jack about the MACH system but are you sure that the grille isn't built into one of the interior panels? You might have to remove the panel to access the actual sub. Otherwise it could be held in by small plastic or metal tabs that extend past the actual shape of the grille. I have seen this kind but have no clue how to remove them.

i know this one

bird283 is actually right. the little grille is held in place by plastice tabs that go past the actuall shape of the grille. i tried to remove mine too just early this week and learned the hard way.
i broke one or two of these little plastic tabs.

the best way is to remove the whole panel. plus if your going to install any new hardware, you might want it off anyway.

even if you just got the grille off there really isn't enough room to remove any of the other important things, amps, sub enclosure

i took my panel off in just about 30 mins....time well spent, cuz it makes the job a hell of alot easier !

whoa

just realized this post is over two years old..... hahaha you probably figured out by now .... aw well good intentions
