Display goes out only when pressing the Brake

My 94 oem radio display goes out only when I apply the brakes. If I have the turn signal on AND the brake it blinks!

It's got 120,000miles so I can't complain.

maybe a loose wire?? maybe a ground or somthing... thats all i can think of

Don't push on the brakes!

Just kidding. Sounds like a short in the radio connections. Probably if you got behind the radio and moved the wires around you'd probably temporarily fix it. Or maybe a poor power connection, not enough current to power the radio? My fix would be to replace the radio with a new aftermarket one, OEM radio is probably on its last leg anyway. My .02.

Even more unusual now.

Left and right turn signals are fast blink (like when you have a bulb out) but as soon as you touch the brakes they slow down to a normal blick.

If the headlights are on then the radio is fine, not sure about the turnsignals when lights are on.
