Do Rancho's or Edlebrock's make a huge noticible handling diffrence on the X??

I put Rancho RS5000's on my pickup and didn't notice any differnce, but it is a totally diffrent vehicle than the X.

Try Bilstein, they are the best you can get!!!

I have the adjustable Rancho 9000s in front and love them. Being able to change the settings for the size of potholes in the city you're in is nice ;)

yes, bilsteins will drastically change the way that your truck rides and handles - they did for me ;)

My Bilsteins might be a little firm for most people who do nothing more than basic transportation, but if you tow big trailers, haul heavy loads, or off-road, you'll enjoy them.

Hi everyone, I noticed that when I lifted my 95 X with the Torsion Bar. My new Bilsteins lost completely the negative travel.

What I did was to replace the forn Bilstein shocks for the ones that fit the Grand Cherokee 95 since they are larger than the X ones.

And they work great for on or off road.

Stock motorcraft shocks aren't bad, but with other shocks such as Gabriel VST, Monroe, Edelbrock, Rancho, or Bilstein you should be able to notice a difference. I'd say the difference is more noticeable in an emergency-type situation where you have to make a sudden turn--in which case the more expensive aftermarket shocks will provide more stability.

I don't really care for the Edelbrocks I have, but not enough to go a and replace them (they only have about 20,000 miles on them). They are quite firm and the truck handles very nicely with them, but I think on a 1st gen they are valved a little wrong. I'll probably go with an adjustable shock next time (like a Rancho 9000 series).
