do i need all 3 cats to pass inspection in NC

Above is the diagram of the converters. The largest converter that is right in front of the muffler i would like to remove to free up some flow when i add my 40 series. There is no oxygen sensors infront or behind it so will removing it throw codes?

It'll still throw off codes cause your pcm will look for pre-cat levels and post cat levels. if they are not within specs, it'll throw a code

I don't have emissions checks here in Florida and I've got my 3rd cat cutout. I throw no codes because of it. Shops can't cut it out but if it happens to disappear they don't have to replace it.

I get we can't talk about breaking the law, but, if the truck was off road use only...
I can't see it throwing a code if there is no post cat O2...

The O2 sensors are only before/after the front two converters. There are no sensors for the third catalytic converter, so the vehicle itself while not have any issues.
