I'm not throwing any codes. A while back the T vacuum connector on my purge solenoid broke, so I just bypassed it, and capped the port at the throttle body, and left the exit hose on the canister box open. No idle issues, no surging or sputtering.
In Texas, they don't run a smog check, just a basic safety inspection, so they don't care.
Does this affect my vehicle in any way, bypassing it? I'm driving a 1994 Explorer, so it's not like being green is on my mind.
I'm thinking more like fuel economy, or long term effects on the engine.
