Do I need to change the cage?

So the wife and I are upgrading from a 1000 lb tent trailer to a 3000 lb 16 foot trailer here soon and while my Ex has the trailer package, they saddled it with the pitiful 3.08 gears. Now I have a set of 4.10's waiting in the wings, or can get my hands on a set of 3.73's easy enough to up my towing capacity from the measly 3200 lbs that it is right now. Would I also have to change the cage, or is it just a matter of swapping the ring and pinion?

No, you dont need to change the CARRIER.
