I have been considering accumulating enough money to get my own OBDII interface setup. NOT one of the dealership ones like you see on eBay, or a plain old box like actron sells.
I am talking about these websites that hawk these interface boxes. You buy their box and cable, and provide your own computer and software.
After that, they talk like these things will do everything a factory diagnostic system will do and more.
I realize a tuner will also do many things, but I want something I can plug into everwhos' car is having an issue.
After recently spending 90 bucks to get my cars' palm read at the dealership, I think I could pay for one of those kits pretty quickly.
Does anyone have any experience with one of these kits?
What kind of software could y'all recommend? I know I can't afford VCM, but what else?
Thanks,
-Shawn
