Do they have the same tranny probs?

I am looking for a truck and was wondering if the Ranger has the same "issues" as the Explorer when it comes to transmissions?

If it has the 4.0 yes, I don't know about the transmissions behind the 3.0.

Yes they do, but not as bad. The reason is the weight, the 4 door Explorer weighs "just a little" more then a fully loaded Ranger, so the light duty trans is trying to push a heavier truck. Smae transmissions in the Rangers, but less weight to push around.
