they will be liek any other tire store... jsut some have good techs and some have crappy techs, its luck of the draw really.....
but jsut an fyi, dont expect a larger tire size to be installed, i remembered back in the day if it was an explorer they would not install anything other than what the door tag said.....

I got my Revo's at Costco for a great price as well. I did have to take the rims in without the truck though since I went up to 31's which was a PITA. They did just fine.
I also bought tires from Costco and had nothing but good service from them. They threw in the free Lifetime warranty, Lifetime balancing and everything else. Everytime i went in the have the tires balanced, they just went ahead and did them no questions asked. The nice thing was they beat all the other tire shops by $100.00 and there service was better. I would definitely buy another set of tires from Costco again. Hope this helps......Ryan.
I've got Costco tires on two of my cars. The tires are great, great prices. I think like others have said, the actual labor depends a lot on the techs. I've had a bad balance from two different costcos, and actually still need to take the wife's car somewhere to get it balanced out well.
Do they have the Revo's in stock now? When I was looking they were always unavailable.
I bought some tires from Costco (or it may have been another warehouse store) and had to show them how to mount the tires.
They did not have a clue.
Guess they did it right because they did what I told them to do.
Sorta odd to pay good money to teach managers how to do there peoples job.

that sucks for all you folks that can't get bigger tires put on your Explorers. You can go into any store around here and get bigger tires. I just had WalMart mount some tires for me the other day. They don't care around here. Uhaul even rents trailers to us if we ask.
Last month I got my Revos from them in that size and they had to order them too. They did great work and were very careful about everything including torquing the lugnuts and not scratching the wheels. Then the manager double checked everything before he let it out the door. I don't know if its because its an Explorer and the whole liability issue, or if they check all vehicles. Only bad part was it took them 3 hours to get me in and out of there and there was only one person in front of me.
BTW-I'm extremely happy with the new tires and only wish I'd bought them sooner. Oh, and Tire Rack has them alot cheaper, but you have to mount and balance them yourself....which is what I usually do, but I was lazy this time and thought they would do it quicker. Next time I'll do it myself in the shop at work.

The nitrogen doesn't expand or contract (much) when the tires heat up and cool down, so your tire pressures are more consistent while driving. Normal compressed air is mostly nitrogen, but also has some oxygen and moisture in it. The moisture is what you really want to avoid, because that's what expands the most when heated.
Just noticed there's already a thread here about using nitrogen. Should explain it better. Also, there was no additional charge for using nitrogen vs regular compressed air at the Costco I went to. I don't think I even had the option to use regular air.
