The connectors for a 91-94 Explorer are the same as for a 91-94 Navajo, BUT there are still different connectors used for the base and premium systems.
If you have a factory subwoofer or a factory amplifier (look through the seat belt hole in the passenger side rear interior panel to check) that's a premium system.
You can also tell if your stereo is a premium system if it has a cassette player with the letters "DNR" on the cassette slot door. A system with a CD player is also a premium system.
If you're replacing a factory CD player with another one for a 91-94 Explorer, it should be the same exact thing. Factory CD players from 95-up Explorers will NOT fit.
