Kind of. . .

I have a Duff Pre-Runner Bumper that was modded to fit a winch, and I can shoot a few photos of the mounts and post them in a few days if that'll help. Again, not the Duff Winch bumper, just the Duff Pre-Runner bumper (circa 1998), but the mounts should be the same (or at least similar).

My duff bumper which was modified for a winch came from duff with a peice of ~ 1/4" X 2 X 4" angle and you fit it to your vehicle then drill your holes for the bolts were you want it.
When I added my winch to the Duff pre runner bumper I add a second piece of plate to the other side of the frame rail.
Also to have a better fit with my 2" body lift I raised the bumper and added a tab for the lower bolt hole.
When I added the winch I also moved the bumper out so I drilled new holes and added one more tab, I probably should have removed the first tab but i didn't so it is a little ghetto
So far the bumper has held up including pulling my explorer and a bronco2 up a slick incline at the same time.

Paul,

Some pics of your mounts would be great eather post them in this thread or you can email them to me if you want.

Joe,

So you are just useing the stock bolt holes on the frame to hold it? That sounds pretty good to me. I was going to make it much more involved then that. Maybe I wont have to....

I used the factory bolt holes which are oblong and grade 5 bolts

No problem - will get to it tomorrow. . . The Duff bumper is "sleeved" on three sides (top, left and right) to fit over the frame rail. Bolt holes are pre-drilled on the bumper to match the factory bumper mounts. Grade 5 or 8 bolts secure the Duff bumper to the frame.

I love my Duff bumpers, they are STOUT. I picked them up when they first came out (they were also much cheaper then) I got the receiver style ones but a winch plate could easily be adapted tot he front one.

the bumper quality is very good with the Duff units. I have been able to put one small dent in one lower tube over the years and thats when my front tire slipped off a 5' rock in Los Coyotes, all 4 bolts sheared off and the bumper bent back almost into my grill.
I have dropped the rear bumper on some rocks and also a concrete curb on accident one year (hahaha Colorado sno storm made it impossible for me to know that I was about to drive over a 24" drop from one parking lot into another...oops), it only has small grooves in the lower tube, no dents.

I was rear ended on the highway by a Mistu Diamante, the poor kid was following too close and didnt brake in time. My rear bumper was 1/2 way up his hood and my back tires about 4-5" off the ground.
Took some paint off the underside of my rear bumper, and put a small dent in my gas tank skidplate, his car didnt fare so well.

not trying to hijack, but others may be interested as well.
why wouldnt these work on a 2nd gen? could they be made to fit with a lil metal work?
aren't the frame rails pretty similar between gen 1 and 2?

I thought Duff was working on a Gen II bumper?

It is my understanding that there is a couple of variations in bumper brackets after the 1st gen.

i know this is a rather old thread; however, 410 i have a question for you. What part number is your rear receiver pre runner bumper style from james duff. and if you dont know, did you order the one made for the bronco II or the one made for the ranger. Thanks!!
