is the truspeed plug and play?

The TruSpeed is fairly simple to wire up. You just splice two wires inline with the VSS and wire it to an appropriate + and - source (that are hot during start and run) and turn the screws, and you're good to go.

so it adjust itself? hhmm.. how does it do that? if down the road i change my gear and tire size again, it recal itself??

Yes they were BS'ing you because the larger tires delay the ABS kicking in. It does not make it kick in more than it should.

Unless there is a problem with the vss and the computer not talking properly. If that's the case, then it is possible that the abs is kicking in early, but then that would be a computer issue, not a tire size issue.

what benefit would i get from the truspeed other then the truspeedoreading?

edit: what is the model numbet that u have for your truspeed, jdraper

also, is it safe for me then to plug back in the ABS?

I don't have a truspeed in my truck. I just know that I am 5% off when driving.

yes you can plug your ABS back in safely.

cool deal/ thanks for all the info and help

(Thanks for correcting me Jefe, I hate it when people give advice here on stuff they don't know about and now I did it, LOL)

Your shift points are messed up right now because the tranny doesn't know how fast the vehicle is really going. Installing the Superlift Truspeed will correct your tranny operation.
