Dealer has replaced the front Lower arm assembly on both sides, my question is should I do wheel alignment as I don’t know if changing this part will affect or change the wheel alignment. thanks

I can't say for sure but I would think that it would be wise to have the alignment checked after having any front end work like that done.

From experience (on my summer vehicle), in which I both changed upper and lower control arms; no alignment was required (as the toe was not affected)

You had the lower arms replaced and the dealer did not check the alignment afterwards? I find that quite strange. I never did suspension work on anything without checking to assure proper alignment. Just goes with the job. I find it surprising the dealer didn't include this standard procedure.

I agree totally. Not being a mechanic, I checked it out on the Internet and the majority of articles/posts suggest that at least the alignment should be checked.

I agree. You know, my wife had her front lower control arms replaced under a recall on her 09 CX9 and an alignment isn’t required (or even checked). They take it for a test drive and if it drives straight, they’re done. Makes no sense to me. Anything to save a buck I guess.

dealer claims that alignment is not required but if i want they can do for whoooping 800dhs (about 210$) and i asked if they can only check if its off and i'll do the alignment elsewhere where the price will be around 100-200 dhs of course they said "NO" i even talked to the manager and lectured them that they need to provide the alignment reading after replacing any suspension part.
though its drive normal and straight will probably visit one tireshop for alignment.
