Does your truck make you a freak

I see so many modified explorers on this site but I have never, ever seen one out driving around except mine and my brothers.I have only ever seen one other one with all terrain tires on it, no lift no nothing.It seems like you can't stop at a light without having atleast one other explorer there.Do you guys ever see other modified explorers around? do I just live in a town with too many soccer moms and old farts?I have 33-12.5's on my truck and I allways have people with stock explorers (And other trucks) asking me if I think those tires would fit on their truck.Am I alone or is my truck a freak?

theres a few other modified expos in my town but nothing too big i mean they just have rims and they aren't in that great of body shape, but there are a few.

i always see beat up expos it makes me feel bad for them

In the last little town I lived in (14k people) 30 miles North.. there were two other lifted Explorers (1st gen) there. Now I'm down here in Chico (80k people) and I haven't seen a single one. I have seen two Explorers with some pimped out wheels and altezzas. But I wrote them off as street enthusiasts and not Explorer enthusiasts.

So I'm a freak of nature in this town.

Here there are some on 20 and all that. There is also a lifted 1st gen and a TT/AAL sport out here that is pretty nice, asked him to go to Rich Mtn. with us last year and he said that he dosent go off road .

I have only seen one lifted X in my town. It was a first gen and i had a 2inch maybe a 3 with some 31 m, but i wasn't in my X so i didn't stop and talk to him. I hope i see him again that is the first one i have senn in my town.

I've only seen 2 modded X's in my town. a big lifted green one ive seen around town but ive never gotten a chance to talk to the guy, and another white one i saw once, but couldnt catch up to. im pretty much isolated from a lot of people on the site, heh.

When I worked at a car wash I got to wash an unlifted Ex with 31's (same setup I've got).

I've seen 3 other lifted Exs driving on highways, so I couldn't stop to talk.

I've seen a LOT of Exs with altezzas, rims, chrome grillguards, and stuff like that, but like Section says, I think they're just street enthusiasts.

But, for the record, I live in a city with a population of 4million+, so nothing is totally unique

absolutely none in my town. ive seen about 3 jeeps lifted here. and when they see me they look at me like there in disbelief. hell the first guy that seen me had 31's the next time i saw him he had 33's jeez i didnt know i was a threat. lol but no never an x wish there was

I see a few Exolorers with crap you can just go buy from Lund and so on. But there are none as monified as mine. I am deffinatly an eye catcher!

yeah..up here in boone and back at home in high point north carolina there aren't very many people with mods on their explorers. at app state i think i am one of the only people who dare to take their explorer off-road and modify it for off-road purposes..mostly all i see are people with brushguards or rims..thats about it. I have seen one other kid with a 99' ex like mine with 33's on it but i have never gotten close enough to tell if it's body or suspension lift..all i know is it's bad arse...of course i kinda like bein looked at by all the people who drive the usual..wranglers and things who are surprised by me and the explorer..

I have never seen any modified explorers other then mine where I live. When people see mine i get alot of questions about it. Usually I get is that an explorer? or they say they have never seen a lifted explorer before.

The other day I happened to be driving through St Louis with a friend on the way from a road trip, and I was keeping an eye out for your Ex the whole time. Didn't see it though But I thought it'd be really cool, so I tried

i have never seen one in my area. in my city, this HS kid put 2000 16" ex rims on his 1st gen, but thats it....about 20 miles away, i saw a 1st gen on 20s, shaved and hehad a 93-97 ranger front end on. other than those, the only other lifted ex i saw was a 1st gen in lansing (about an hour and a half) but he was on the opposite side so i couldnt see details.

I'm sure theres 8-9 in the state of NY but in a big state like this, it's hard to find each other. But I'm on the look out all the time. So, no, I haven't seen a moded one yet. There's plenty of stockers though. On every street light it seems.

none here at all...a few kids from my high school put 31s under their 2nd gens like me but none lifted...as a matter of fact, i dont think i have ever seen a lifted explorer in person

In and around my town I see about 3 or more lifted explorers per month.
And I only know of two lifted explorers that live in my town.

There's a lifted 1st gen sport that I see every now and then but it's always while I'm driving the other way. Other than that I'v seen 2 2nd gens on chrome 20's but no other mods.
