I bought my explorer & was missing the socket the light bulb goes in.
I search the forum & found a few places to purchase them. I ordered on but being impatient I went to auto zone & picked up one that i thought would fit
its was a caltem 08523
instrument panel socket
fits 5/8 "instument panel socket hole
the tabs on the end were a little too big & I just used a exacto knife to cut the plastic ends down
the cost us here in baltimore was about 2.99 & about 10 mins of time
