Ok, it's not a major problem, just an annoyance. My 92 Explorer dome light won't come on whe the doors are open. The "key left in" chime doesn't work either. I can manually turn the light on with the headlight switch, and if I leave the lights on with the key in, the chime works. I replaced the chime module, but still nothing. Any help?

Check your door button switches! When you open or close the door the buttons open and close! Their on the wall near the hinges! Take them out and jump them to see if it is the switches! Just undo the nut that holds them on! Don't go letting them fall inside the door! Hold on to them! The reason the key chime seems to work is that when you leave the lights on the light chime is comming on! Not the KEY chime! Any juice at the chime module???

The buttons are intack, and functioning.
