Dome lights dont come on when driver door is open

Hey guys, im new here, and i have a quick question. i have a 97 mountie and when my driver door is open, the lights dont come on and it doesnt ding. is there a fuse that controls this? if so, where is it? help is appreciated!

Do the lights come on when you roll your dimmer switch up? If so, its the switch not the lights.

The switch is located in the door latch mechanism. You can squirt a little WD-40 in there and close the door hard a few times to see if you can free it up, otherwise it needs to be replaced.

yea, the lights come on when i roll it up. ill try the wd-40 tomorrow. thanks!

Sounds like a sticky or bad door sensor.
