domelight stays on while driving

2010 ford explorer: Dome light stays on while driving 30 miles at night. Went off within 30 minutes of turning car off. No on off switches or switching headlights on and off made a difference.

This may sound silly, but did you check the dimmer switch to make sure it was not dialed all the way up to where it turns the dome light on?
