I’ve read just about everything available for the door ajar problems on my 02 xlt. Usually after starting the door ajar warning lite comes on and then the dome light. Sometimes it’s just the warning signal and the driver door locks and unlocks but the dome lite does not go on. Sometimes it’s only the passenger side lock that rapidly locks and unlocks and some times it’s only the rear lift gate that rapidly locks and unlocks. Occasionally I’ll hear a clicking sound coming from behind the passenger side dashboard. I checked the wires between the drivers door and door jamb. Only a broken wire that operates the passenger exterior mirror. Any thoughts?
