Anyone have any door glass replacement tips, how to manuver the glass in or out, reaching the rivets, etc? I am getting ready to replace both of the door glass peices on my Sport, and the outer trim peices as well, they are the cause of my problem, badly scratched on both sides. It looks ok in the shadow, but as soon as its in direct light, night or day, its like a cataract, turns white from all the scratches.
I already picked up the glass, both peices brand new, PPG, for $82 total! And have ordered the trim peices, $90 total, sucks. Thanks for any help!

Anyone? I picked up the trim peices today, so I am good to go. Hopefully someone has swapped the glass in their truck and can share some pointers. Thanks!

hey man, i work for a glass shop in wisconsin. basically what you wanna do is roll down the window with the door panel off(just hook up the switch) and line up the rivets, there should be 2, in the access holes in the door. then drill them out. once that is done, take the plastic that is on the old doorglass and if you need it for the new ones, clean it out. then take the door glass and you want to tip the front part of the glass, the closest part to the side mirror, lift the glass out of the regulator, then tip it down and it should slide out of the door on the outside of the frame. then reverse to install, and rivet back in, before you do the rivets though, make sure the glass rolls up and down unobstructed, and that its in the channels.
