can you tap thim up with a hammer vice grips
or do you need cut the top off and hammer them down
it looks like it would easer to hammer them up a inch or two then grab the top with vice grips

If you have cobalt drill bits, you can drill off the tops and pound them up.

An even easier way (or the way if you don't have drill bits) is to just cut the door pin in the middle with a small hacksaw or sawzall. Then it just comes out top and bottom.

Either way, be sure to support the door well or have someone holding it up when the pin comes out.

I could make two sawzall cuts and just drive the old pin out at the top and bottem
its sounds vary easy:feedback:

we just got the new pins in
we took the door off and moved it back a bit the door was on jack stands with me holding it
we used a die grinder to grind down the head of the pins
and they just poped out
one door closes great the other is better than it was
