door lock actuator installation

does anyone have any ideas on how to re-attach the door lock actuator? ford gives you this huge steel rivet that's too big for my rivet gun. has anyone gone through this before? please help.

Go down to the QuckieMart, buy a 6 pack of Silver bullet. Take beer, rivet, and Exploder to dealership.

Drive in the service entrance and ask a tech to put the rivet in and give him the 'bullet.

I did that a couple weeks ago....I just used a nut bolt/washer and it works fine. Kinda tricky to get on but once you get it on its stays and is very strong.

Funny story.....I put in a brand new actuator and all that stuff to find out it was a cut wire in the door jamb...man was that a fun day....
