Door lock problems - Both remote and key

My 2001 is having issues with the door lock driver's door. With the remote, sometimes it does not unlock, or only goes partway and jams. Then the key will not work either. I have to open another door and open via the inside latch.

Any tips or ideas?

Start with WD40 or something like it.. squirt it in the lock cylinder and the door lock its self. That will help with the key part and the electric looks it could be the actuator is going bad I have one doing the same thing it will unlock but not lock..
