This is my first post and I was hoping your guys could help.

My keyless door remote stopped working. I changed the battery and it still dosen't work. It came with two remotes and I changed the battery in both and still no luck.

Don't know if this is relevant but the keyless keypad still works. It is really a pain not having the remote becaseu the only way to get the rear glass open is with the remote. I have kids and a ton of junk in the back so opening the rear door is always and adventure. thanks for the help.

Oh, one other thing, i noticed awhile back that my compass (for lack of the correct term) is off by 180 degrees. So when I'm going north, it says south. not sure if this has anything to do with it becuase it has been like that for months.

I don't know about the remotes, but there's a little bump near the right licence plate light which - when pressed - pops the liftgate glass open. See pic below.

Also, there is a way to reset your compass. Excerpt from the owner's manual:

Compass zone adjustment
1. Determine which magnetic zone you are in for your geographic location by referring to the zone map (my guess is you are in zone 5)
2. Turn ignition to the ON position.
3. Locate compass sensor mounted at base of mirror.
4. Insert a paperclip into the small hole on the bottom of the compass sensor or press the button on the top of the compass module until ZONE appears in the instrument cluster display.
5. Release pressure on the paperclip or button and then slowly press it down again.
6. Continue to press until ZONE appears in the instrument cluster display, then release. The display should show the current zone number.
7. Press until the desired zone number appears. The display will flash and then return to normal operation. The zone is now updated

Compass calibration adjustment
Perform this adjustment in an open area free from steel structures and high voltage lines:
For optimum calibration, turn off all electrical accessories (heater/air conditioning, wipers, etc.) and make sure all vehicle doors are shut.
1. Start the vehicle.
2. Locate compass sensor mounted at base of mirror.
3. Insert a paperclip into the small hole on the bottom of the compass sensor or press the button on the top of the compass module until ZONE appears in the instrument cluster display. Continue to hold down until ZONE disappears and CAL is displayed (approximately eight seconds) and release.
4. Drive the vehicle slowly (less than 5 km/h [3 mph]) in circles until CAL indicator turns off (4–5 complete circles).
5. The compass is now calibrated.

Thanks for the info. I had no idea that there was a button for the glass. Now, I only I can get the remotes working....

you most likely have to reprogram them. it sems pretty common for them to get uncalibrated when the battery is changed. its super easy

get in truck and press the unlock button once so all dors are open.

insert key in ignition and go from off to run
(turn key to right before it cranks engin.)
cycle between off and run 8 times in 10 seconds ending on RUN
the locks will cycle once (Lock, Unlock)
press any button on 1st remote and the locks will cycle again signifying remote has been programmed
now do the same for the second remote if needed.
locks will cycle again.
turn key to off and wait 20 seconds and the locks will cycle again showing it has been programmmed.
now your remotes should work again. if not im out of ideas haha

hope this helps

Worked great. Thanks. The funny this is, I haven't changed the battery since I've owned the truck. Weird. Anyway, thanks for the info this is a great site with very helpful people.

Perfect! This helped me solve my problem!

I almost went in to the dealer, and probably would have sat there for 3 hours while they "programmed" my remote, and paid $30 dollars for half an hour of Mechanic time.
