after my accident; the driver door wont open. ive already begun to repair my truck myself and ran into this obstacle.

i have already pulled the fender off, and i took the door off the hinges and set it on jack stands just an inch or 2 from the car. however, the window and speaker wires are still attached to the door. where can i unhook/unplug these wires without taking the door off? or is this something the door has to be off for?

i dont want to cut the wires and it would be very tricky trying to get the door panel off with the heavy door moving around and still attached with these wires.

i have purchased a haynes manual online to look this up, but it wont get here for about 9-10 days and im trying to get this done as soon as i can.

I have the same question, and the door panel is off lol..

There is a plug connector in the jamb...you MAY have to remove the kick panel, and push the E-brake pedal down to clear the area to get INSIDE the channel.

I've done it a few times.

got it. it was tricky, but finally got the door wires unplugged and my door completely off. i did have to remove the kick panel and peel off the foam surrounding the harness. they were pretty well hidden.

thanks!
