Doors can't be locked.

Hello everybody, I'm new here at the explorerforum.
Just bought my first Explorer Limited 4.0 (2001) but have already a problem. The doors can't be locked anymore while the lights are flashing.
Is this a serious problem or is there a simple solution to fix this?

Need more specific information. You say 'Door can't be locked'. There are many ways to lock the door. YOu can lock it from inside with the stick. You can lock it from outside with the remote or with a key. From what you say here, I assume that you press the 'lock' button on the remote and you think that the door is locked. But you still can open the door from outside? If that is the case, your alarm should sound because the truck thinks that someone is break-in. Is this what is happening?
