I've heard about this "sticky" steering, what exactly is this? Aside from the frame being visible, are there any other downsides to a body lift? Which kits have suitable bumper brackets, I've heard some people have problems with this?

I've wanted to stick with a suspension lift, but there's no way I can afford the 5.5" lift that I want, but a $100 body lift I can handle. That in combination with the spacer/shackle lift will give me 4.5" up front and 4.75" in the rear, I'm hoping I can run 33's, if not I'll run 32's.

I have a 91 Xlt with the 3" BL I have had no problems at all with the steering, of course as you said the frame shows, but if you get a little black paint or Herculiner you can make that problem much less! I LOVE my BL and with the spacers and shackles I run 33's with no problems if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Oh yeah there are NO good bumper brackets!

If there are no "good" bumper brackets, do any of them actually work, or do they have to be modified, or just thrown away and get custom ones made??

One downside of a body lift on the 91 to 94's is that it does nothing to the front suspension travel (obviously). The 91 to 94's only have about two inches of travel in the front so it is well worth it to increase it with a suspension lift.
