Downsize wheels from 18 to 16" ?

I have a 2007 Sport Trac Limited with 18" wheels and factory class III towing.
The wheels are beat up and and there aren't many tire choices available. Does anyone know if the 16" wheels from the base XLT model will fit?

Yep, the 16" wheels from a Ranger, ST, Explorer will fit. My neighbor runs stock 2003 Explorer steel wheels with studded snow tires in the winter time and stock Limited chrome cladded 17's or 18's with all season tires the rest of the year. He has a 2007 Explorer Limited.
