Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the stock 95-01 section. The technician corner section on this site has a thread on the DPFE sensor.
I'm not sure exactly where it is on the 96, but it should be around the back of the intake manifold on the passenger side, it will have 2 little silicone hoses running into it, and a couple of wires for the sensor. It's pretty buried so it might take a bit of looking to find it.
