Hey guys I was just wondering if an explorer is legal on drag strips. I know Troll drag races but I was wondering if you have to do anything special to your car to make it legal? The reason why is i want to race my friend and his v6 firebird because i beat him on the street but he won't admit it. He says its because i launched better, but i didn't even launch it. Anyways, thanks for the input.

Sure you're drag strip legal. Most strips have some sort of rules, but your stock Explorer should meet them all. You probably won't be going fast enough to need a helmet or pants. :D Well, not pants in general..

You don't start getting into most of the rules until you're in the 14s, which you're not :)

Just be sure the truck is reasonably clean when you go (they got mad at me, they thought I was gonna drop mud on the track). And go ahead and do some weight removal such as the spare, etc, if you feel like it, every 100-150 lbs is usually .1 seconds.

is that 14 seconds to get to 100?

14 to get to the 1/4 mile

ok, i am not to used tothe whole way it works, even being around a stang freak alot. We actuall staked 1/4 mile on the road were my friend lives.

Time to get edumacated :D

BTW, especially learn attention to how bracket racing works, cause that's what you'll be doing if you actually compete.

urrg im already lost.

im to tired to do anything tonight, il check the sites out tomorrow
