Drive train ???

I have been searching for a while and cant find anything that directly answers my ??

I have a 1998 ford explorer with the 5.0 and am wondering if a 205 transfer case will bolt to it

also I was wondering how strong the trannys are in the explorers with the 5.0

This is going to only be used for rockcrawling

should I just put a c-6 and a 205 or will the stock tranny and a 205 be as strong
