Driveline noise on a 94 X

I have a 94 exp 4x4 EB. I hear a roaring noise only when driveline is under torque. let off gas, it stops instantly. It is more pronounced at lower speeds. I have placed it in nuetral to check bearing noise, their is none. Im thinking it is 1 of the diffs or the transfer case. any suggestions would help.

Automatic hubs grinding?
My wife has the same as you and hers did not disengage and made a low grinding noise but it went away when shwe re-engaged the 4x4.
Just a thought

I have a 94 as well and have the same noise. I was thinking it was my transfer case or maybe my exhaust (converter noise). Let me know if you figure it out, I would like to fix mine as well.
