Hi guys. So I read the sticky about broken power window but still couldn't find out the problem with mine

I looked in the boot and there were no broken wires.

When I push the button for the window to go up it just doesn't work. All the other windows work just not the drivers.

When I push the button I can hear a little click under the dash.

Can you help me out with this problem please.

It's a 99 xlt

If the window is all the way down and seams like it's not getting power, you may be experiencing the same thing as me. I don't know if it's motor brushes or a lazy spot in the regulator, though I tend to think it's more motor related. If you can get the motor to wake up by hitting the interior panel between the speaker and arm rest (while holding the "up" button), then you are experiencing what I am. The easy solution I'm currently using is to roll it all the way down, then immediately bump the up switch so that the top edge of the windo peaks above the weatherstrip. If this little "fist bump" trick still has no results, you will need to run jumper wires to the battery to test the motor...of course this is after you check for power at the switch and motor. I have seen the switch go bad because water easily gets to them from the windshield with the wipers on and the window down.

Thanks for the reply. I tried to do the bump trick but nothing. I'm thinking it's the motor.

It just stopped working. Wasn't sluggish or any trouble before. Just one day put it down while driving and when I got to where I was going it wouldn't go up. It's been in the down position for about a week now

Sounds like my '95 sport. If I leave it all the way down and don't bump it up slightly, it will stick. Then I have to hit the door panel pretty damn hard to jar it loose. The actual place I hit it is just below and slightly forward of the door handle.

Relay fuse and switches all getting power but driver window wont go up . Ran jumper wire to motor now the rest wont go down. Clicking under dash when testing switch power . Sounds like clicking in box up center under dash
