Hello All,
I just signed up to post, but I have been reading this forum for a few years now and has helped me immensly on keeping my Mounty running nice and smooth and doing it all myself.
I have a new issue though that I could not find anything on which is why I am posting for help.
Left side Low Beam is not working. It seems it may work once in a blue moon, but its currently not working. Hi beam works fine
Things I have done so far:
1. Replaced the bulb to no avail. Hi beam still works on either bulb
2. Checked the fuse and is fine (Fuse 43 i believe off the top of my head)
3. Checked for power at the pin for low beam at the connecter to the bulb and does have voltage.
4. Checked the relay for low beams and has continuity
Now the funny parts I found that is throwing me for a loop:
1. Voltage is basically null if I try to test on the fuse tips while in the block. The other side gets a .03V though along with the highs, but nothing at the fuse.
2. If I pull the fuse out and test from the block, I get like 8-10V for the left low. If I check the high and right side, I get the normal 12* V
3. At the connector I also confirmed voltage is about 6.5V for lowbeam, but high is the normal 12*V
I have read about an LOM module, but from some more research this was discontinued in the 98 models?
Any other ideas where to check on this thing to determine the cause? I assume its not enough voltage coming from somewhere to get the light to light?
